THE UPDATE
Have you updated your goals
and business plan? If you are among the 3% who have
your goals and business
plan, in writing, CONGRATULATIONS!!! You are on the right
track to ensure
that 2006 will be a successful year. You have set the stage for your
success. If you have not, the only question is WHY? Without a business plan,
which
outlines your goals and a deadline date to achieve, you are running your
business in
the dark. You are assured of not getting all you can get out of
your business and your
income potential.
WELCOME
TO OUR TEAM
Please help us welcome our
newest members to our team:
Suzanne Byrd,
Don Widmayer, John Connolly, Sue Alfred, and Megan
Brown,
This brings our
organization’s size to
89,
including 74 Associates and 15 CHC, Inc.
support staff members! RE/MAX
International currently boasts 115,604 Associates,
in 6,191 offices in 63
Countries! Over 33 years in business, and
NEVER a
down month!
YOUR
LIFE, YOUR BUSINESS, YOUR WAY
Can you believe that it has
already been one month since the last installment of our
regular monthly
educational event? Yes, this month’s event is scheduled for THIS
TUESDAY
(always remember to schedule the second Tuesday of the month for this event).
This month, we have a newcomer to our cast, Craig Proctor. Proctor, a Sales
Associate
with RE/MAX Omega Realty in Newmarket, Ontario, will discuss the
systems that make
him one of the world’s top-producing Associates. His
session is titled “Generating
Prospects With No Cold Calling”.
Proctor has twice been
ranked No. 1 in commissions among all RE/MAX Associates.
In 2005, his team
closed 500 transaction sides – all without making a single cold call –
to rank
second in Canada and 14th internationally. With Craig Proctor
headlining this
months program, there are sure to be many “nuggets” of new and
exciting ideas which
you can implement into your business, THIS WEEK.
This event will kick off
this Tuesday at 6:30pm at the Holiday Inn in Warrenton. If you
are planning
to attend,
please RSVP to me by Monday afternoon so we may be sure
to
have supplies and seating for everyone.
LEADSTREET
The MainStreet side of
LeadStreet is now up and running!! All RE/MAX Associates
should now be
updating your profiles and setting up your lead acceptance notification
method. You need to do this right away. LeadStreet WILL be HUGE. It has
already
been test run in some regional areas of the country and the leads that
have been
generated for RE/MAX Associates have been VERY successful! Please
don’t miss
out on your opportunity. The public Internet side of LeadStreet
will be activated
Tuesday, March 14th. Look for leads to begin
flowing then.
In the meantime, did you see
the press release from RE/MAX International about
LeadStreet? Incase you
missed it, here it is:
Don’t miss out on LeadSteet!!!!
Leads to
Begin Flowing From LeadStreet
By Phil Smith, RE/MAX Times
Associate Editor
Associates will soon begin reaping the benefits of LeadStreet, RE/MAX
International's listing
initiative under which - once the system is fully implemented - virtually
every U.S. residential
listing will be displayed on RE/MAX.com.
The system will roll out in three phases. The March 13 launch of Phase 1
will cover nearly
two-thirds of the nation, including almost all major metro markets, and
about 1.5 million listings.
The rest of the United States will be added to the system as quickly as
possible.
Consumer leads arising from the system will be routed directly to RE/MAX
Associates and offices.
Upon a consumer's first visit, when the lead involves a RE/MAX listing,
it will go to the listing
agent. Leads arising from competitors' listings will be routed to
Associates on a rotating basis
using a weighted algorithm taking into account the number of offices in
that market and the
number of Associates in each office.
To participate in the system, Broker/Owners must receive permission
slips from their local
MLS; for help, visit the IDX/ILD Resource Center on RE/MAX Mainstreet.
For Sales Associates
to participate, they must be Mainstreet members and their Broker/Owner
must be a participant.
The national power of the RE/MAX brand is critical, says Cindy Andrade
of RE/MAX Associates
in San Jose, Calif.
"When you try to promote your own Web site, it's very expensive," says
Andrade (ABR, SRES).
"Under this new strategy, I think I'm more apt to be discovered than if
I were strictly on my own."
Associates will manage their contacts and marketing campaigns through
the new LeadStreet
section on Mainstreet.
Other elements of LeadStreet include:
Customizable Web sites for participating Broker/Owners.
Lead-management tools, including drip e-mail marketing campaigns
customized for
RE/MAX by Dave Beson.
Activity and contact management.
Reporting tools at the Associate, office and regional levels.
Associates will receive potential leads via e-mail, making them
instantly accessible via cell
phones, PDAs, BlackBerries or other mobile devices. To ensure that every
consumer lead
receives an answer, Associates will have a response-time deadline -
after which the lead will
be routed to another Associate. Regions will set specific time limits.
Once Associates accept a lead, a contact record is generated in
LeadStreet. Contacts can
also be imported into other contact management programs such as
AgentOffice for RE/MAX,
Top Producer or Outlook.
Florida-based Siegent Inc., the parent company of eNeighborhoods, will
manage LeadStreet
for approximately 63 percent of the United States. A second vendor,
Reliance Network, will
cover just over 25 percent.
In conjunction with LeadStreet, RE/MAX.com will receive a redesign to add
even more
consumer information than previously. It will include not only listings
but mortgage tips,
moving information, past home sale data, neighborhood information and
hints for buyers
and sellers.
The key, of course, is listings.
"Consumers have demanded to have all the listings on one site, and
that's what we're
giving them," says Kristi Graning, RE/MAX International Senior Vice
President of IT and
eBusiness. "And we have the national force to deliver leads directly
into Associates' hands."
With as little as one click from the RE/MAX.com home page, consumers can
begin searching
for properties.
"This is a boon to every U.S. RE/MAX office," says Jack Frey, Sales
Associate/Manager of
RE/MAX Executive Group in Clermont, Fla. "When a consumer can go on the
Internet and
look at all the homes in a market from one site, it's a great thing.
It's going to be a heck
of a recruiting tool for me, too."

“THE REAL ESTATE CENTRE”
Did you see the article in
the Fauquier Citizen about “The Real
Estate Centre”?
If you did not, click here for more! We are going vertical on the
building!! The
final elements of the site work are being completed and the
footers have been
poured. Steel will be delivered to the site this week, and
up we go. Our project
has now been underway for four months. It is amazing
how long site work takes.
But we understand that this is not an unusual
amount of time. We have our
retainer wall installed, and our storm and
sanitary sewer lines are now in place.
The water lines have been run and the
fire hydrants have now been installed.
The final formations of our roads and
parking lots are nearly complete.
We are still expecting the building to be
completed in August!
Now for the fun news, we are
planning for a blow out grand opening party,
'which is scheduled for September
22nd. We are in the planning stages for
this event, including
theme and entertainment. Do you have any great ideas
for a grand opening
PARTY?? Please give us your ideas! We are looking for
a FUN and memorable
event!
VIVA LAS
VEGAS
RE/MAX International
convention for 2006 has now wrapped up. Which will
never be the same, our
Associates who attended this year’s convention, or
Las Vegas after hosting the
RE/MAX International 2006 Convention? Las
Vegas hosted 10,000 RE/MAX
Associates who were looking to learn about
how to do better in their careers,
and have some fun along the way. This was
quite a memorable Convention! Many
educational and fun experiences
distinguish this convention from previous
conventions. Ask any of the attendees
about their highlights of the week, we
are all happy to share the experience.
My highlights included, the
introduction of LeadStreet which was a HUGE
announcement. WOW, one more
reason why the RE/MAX Organization will
become even stronger. But let’s not
forget the opening general session, the
performances, the information, and
then there was Jack Canfield, author of the
“Chicken Soup for the Soul”
series. AMAZING! Everyday is filled with
educational breakout sessions, like
the remainder of day one, but then came,
day two! Jim Collins, author of
“Good to Great” and “Built to Last”, among
many other accomplishments, was up
first. Next on stage, Brian Buffini.
After our exceptional morning, the
never to be missed, Komen Race for the
Cure Fashion Show Luncheon, and a great
Awards Celebration, including
Dinner and Dancing later in the evening. What a
day, but then came the next
day. Dewitt Jones came out to speak after 20+
years of photography with
National Geographic. Amazing stories!! Then,
Richard Robbins, another
great speaker. By now, I am chomping at the bit to
get back home and
add to my successes. “THE RE/MAX RECHARGE” in full effect.
There were
also fundraiser auctions (over $100K for Children’s Miracle
Network) and a
raffle for a new Porsche Cayenne. The winner of this car was
NOT in attendance,
which lead to even more fun as calls were attempted to her
cell phone. All in
all, this Convention was one to set the standard mark for
all future events.
Mark your calendar NOW for
the RE/MAX International Convention 2007 in
Atlanta Georgia. We will be there
from March 4th to March 7th. Bring your
spouse or
significant other, many do, and many others promise that next
year they will
definitely bring them along.
